Description

Aphis pomi is a bright green aphid. Adults are 1.5–2.0 mm long, elongated. They have transparent wings, black thorax and green abdomen. The large colonies can be found on a shoot of apple in the spring. The green apple aphid feeds on and causes curling of apple leaves. The damage caused by this aphid can be locally significant.
