Terms of Use and Data Protection for www.forestpests.eu and www.skodcoviadrevin.sk

  1. Your personal data is used exclusively for communication with you.

  2. By entering data when uploading photos, you consent to the registration and processing of personal data.

  3. Since May 25th, 2018, your personal data are processed according to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27th, 2016 on the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data (GDPR), and in accordance with Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on personal data protection, as amended. Consent is valid for an indefinite period and can be withdrawn at any time by notifying us by email or in writing.

  4. The operator of the online atlas www.forestpests.eu, the National Forest Centre (NFC) Zvolen, declares that personal data obtained through photo uploads is handled in accordance with the above regulations and is not provided to third parties unless required by law.

  5. Uploaded photographs and their geographical data may be published on electronic platforms managed by the NFC Zvolen, including websites (e.g., www.skodcoviadrevin.sk, www.forestpests.eu, www.woodpests.com etc.), social media, and printed professional publications. Publication will occur under your real name or chosen "nickname", as provided.

  6. By uploading photos to the system, you declare that:

    - You are the author and copyright holder of the uploaded photos, or

    - You have the legal right to upload and allow the usage of these photos in a way that does not conflict with Act No. 618/2003 Coll. on copyright and related rights.

  7. By uploading photographs, you:

    - Grant the NFC Zvolen non-exclusive, free, indefinite license to publish your photos with proper attribution (your name or nickname).

    - Agree to license your photos under Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0.
    This means that third parties may use the photos for non-commercial purposes only, under the condition that they credit you as the author. For example Photo: M. Zúbrik, forestpests.eu. More information: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/

  8. Commercial use of your photos (such as in advertisements, commercial websites, or magazines) without authors explicit written consent, in accordance with Act No. 185/2015 Coll. on copyright law is prohibited.

  9. This consent to publish photos and geographical data does not limit your rights as the author. You retain full ownership and are free to publish or license your photos elsewhere, including granting rights to other parties.

The NFC is responsible for ensuring the protection of processed personal data. According to the Law and the Regulation, the NFC has an assigned person responsible for protecting personal data in the NFC.

Any person whose personal data is processed at the NFC may contact the responsible person with questions concerning the processing of his data and applying his rights under the Regulation and the law.
