Aceria pseudoplatani

Mite Aceria pseudoplatani

Description

Small spots are formed on the lower side of the leaf, maximum 1 cm in size, on which is formed a felt, hairy covering (erineum). They are yellowish green in colour. Damage is also considerable on the upper side of the leaf where swellings of a paler colour appear at the site of the spots. Thus, the leaf appears to be spattered with a pale green colour on the upper side. It can reduce the aesthetic value of the tree.

Symptom

On the underside of the leaf, areas up to 1 cm in size are formed, on which a felt, hairy coating is formed. The leaf is speckled with a light green color on the upper side.
