Description

Univoltine. The egg overwinters. The adults (14–16 mm wingspan) fly from June to August. The caterpillar feeds in May/June inside the young shoots, causing thickening and stopping their growth. The symptoms are the same as in case of Stenolechia gemmella. Oak forests.
