Description

Ypsolopha ustella is an ocher-brown moth of the family Ypsolophidae. Wingspan approx. 15-20 mm. It flies in one generation from July to April (the image hibernates). The caterpillar is green, the last pair of wings is pointing backwards and the caterpillar has an elongated shape. It lives among spun leaves from May to June. It has many similar related species.
