Description

Wingspan 33-35 mm, ground colour grey-brownish with two darker brown stripes in central part of forewings. Larva 30-35 mm in length, dull greenish-whitish-yellowish, dorsal line darker, head and spiracles black. Lateral line little paler. Larva feeds on Quercus spp., on low and bushy trees, hibernation as egg. Margins of warm oak stands, forest steppes. In south of Europe, not rare.
