Description

Small moth with 6 mm wingspan. Adult flies in April and May, and later on in August. The female lays eggs at the upper side of the leaf, and not far from the leaf margin. Larvae feeds inside the leaf parenchyma. The feeding gallery (mine) is a rather wide corridor, that often crosses a vein, and almost invariably runs from somewhere near the leaf margin in the direction of the midrib.
