Description
A small bark beetle, only 1-2 mm long. Its elytra are marked with many lamellar bands and its body is covered with fine hair. Flying in May, the adults invade thin and dying spruce branches in which they excavate distinct V-shaped galleries. These are well visible in the sapwood. The pest has one generation per a year.
