Description

The fruiting bodies are perennial, bracket to semi-effused, firmly attached to the substrate, up to 30 cm wide. The surface is yellowish-rusty, greyish-brown to blackish, with wide concentric zones, the border is yellowish-brown and rounded, with cracks when old. The pores are yellowish, greyish-brown. The mycelium causes white rot of living oaks.
