Description
The white epiphytical mycelium and conidia are present on both sides of leaves and young shoots where they form colonies of an irregular shape joining together in time and later covering the whole leaf. Apricot and black cleistothecia start to appear from the mid June. In case of severe infection, leaves die back and shoots are deformed. The fungus is an invasive species originating from Asia and since the mid 1990s it has been gradually found in Europe. In Europe established, but still rare.
