Description

Attacked buds are conspicuously enlarged, and transfered to a  5-15 mm large gall. The gall midge larvae develop inside the buds. The infested buds enlarge and swell. Its impact is negligible. It is easily overlooked. It can be found in all broadleaved forests with Quercus cerris.
