Description
Round gall with irregular surface. The surface like turtle shell is divided into a lot of smaller n-angles. Average size of gall is regularly less than 10 mm. Under suitable conditions it may occur also in great number. It
prefers lower, shrubby forms of trees in warm localities. It is more abundant in southern parts of Europe. Galls are smilar to those caused by Andricus curtisii, but are much smaller.
Symptom
Galls about 1 cm in size on a twig. Galls is formed by several 5-6 angular outgrowths.
