Description
The unisexual generation, which takes two years to develop - forms gregarious conical galls on shoots close to the soil surface. Conical galls are light red coloured, later black. The bisexual generation causes long thickenings on the leaf petiole, on the midrib or occasionally on younger shoots, often causing bending of the affected part.
