Description

The larva of this leaf-roller lives in a fold on the leaf edge in spring. The leaf in the place of damage is reddish green. A whitish-brownish grey moth flies towards the end of May and in June. Its wingspan is 12-15 mm. The larva hibernates. Rarely abundant enough to cause damage. It prefers spen Populus tremula and occasionally black poplar P. nigra. This species is more common in warmer locations. Damage, which it causes, is not significant.
