Description
This species is native to eastern and southern Asia from China, Korea and Japan in the East to Azerbaijan and Iran in the West. The young larvae are transparant-yellow, later on they become light green with light brown antennae, legs, and wing pads. A. jamatonica produces conspicuous long threads of honeydew, contained in tubes of white wax. A. jamatonica causes primary damage to the host plant by the take-off nutrients and assimilates and deformation of leaves which get yellow and drop off prematurely.
