Description

The gall mite Aceria macrocheluserinea causes a felt like swelling (erineum) of the underside of the leaves of field maple Acer campestre. Coatings appears white at first, later on it can turn red or brown. Numerous mites live in a dense hairs shelter.

Symptom

Creamy-white coatings on the underside of the leaves. Later they change color to red or brown.
