Description
On the top side of leaves are found groups of tiny up to 1.5 - 2 mm long galls. They are pale green or yellow, narrowed at the base. They are caused by sucking of the mite. They occur frequently in large number. Galls are randomly placed on upper side of leaf. Large number of galls may result in leaf deformation. The mite is very small and cannot be seen with the naked eye. Aceria ulmi causes similar deformations.
